Park time!
Labels: Wichita 2 commentsI've been wanting the 100+ degree temps to break for so long so that we could enjoy some outside time and on Wednesday, my wish came true so we headed out to Riverside Park. What a fantastic place this is....
The fountains...
The playground...
We all climbed this rope structure on the playground and it was a lot of fun - not something we've ever seen before...
The pond w/the metal flower sculptures in it...
Random pushups in the park...
Heading into the fountains...
Payton decided to get Blake wet which made him mad...
So Andy decided to get Payton wet and a chase ensued (notice the back of her jeans)...
Then on Friday, we set out to visit another park and ended up parking near the Veteran's Park which memorializes local veterans from various wars. Nicki tells me this park has been recently redone and it's really beautiful and peaceful to be there...
We continued walking the sidewalk that follows the river...
Walked across the bridge...
And stopped at the park to play for awhile...
We were right next to Exploration Place and I needed to use the restroom so we headed down that way...
Walking down a little further, we came to the Keeper of the Plains area which was really beautiful and had music piped in...
At this point, we had traveled nearly full circle so we made our way back to our car...
A troll under one of the grates!
Great times in Riverside area and if anybody has any cash to donate, we could buy a loft in the area for the low, low amount of $800,000! I accept cash, check and credit cards and have PayPal available for your convenience as well. ;)
Labor Day weekend in Kansas City so pics of that coming up w/in the next couple of days. Have a good weekend!

The park pics are fantastic! Don't see that in Texas...at least not locally.
