No TV in June

I've been telling the kids for awhile that I'd be cancelling the satellite TV for the summer to encourage us to get out and do things. Payton didn't believe me but I called today to put our satellite on a temporary suspension. No channels at all for the month of June. We can still watch DVDs, play video games, etc., but there will be no channels to tune into. If it seems to work out well, I may have them suspend the service for July as well. We'll see how it goes!

We've had connectivity issues the last several days so I haven't been able to update so here's a hodgepodge of stuff since we're finally back online!

Payton's last volleyball games - last weekend while we were in New Orleans, my mother-in-law stayed with the kids and took Payton to her last day of volleyball games. It happened to be a tournament where Payton played 9 games in a row and they won all of their matches. They got a trophy and finished the season well!

Blake's last day of Museum School - Ever since I have been at home, Blake has attended Museum School which is held once a week for two hours. They get to learn about various science/nature topics and Blake has loved every minute of it. He had his last class on Thursday and I got a pic of him with his teachers, Ms. Scovil and Ms. Ripple.

Visit to the Cowgirl Museum - Payton left for a few days on an out-of-town trip with a friend. While she was gone, the three of us visited the Cowgirl Museum. They don't allow photography inside but it's a beautiful building with very interactive exhibits. I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. There is a video of me riding a (fake) bucking horse that I'll post once I have it. It's really bad because I didn't know what was going on (thought it was a still picture, not a video) but will probably be funny to watch. Outside the museum...

Daddy's little "helper" - wherever Andy is, Blake is in his shadow. He thought aerating the yard was an amusement park ride.
