Loans that change lives

Capitalist Altruism isn't an oxymoron and should appeal to even the very fiscally conservative people who read my blog.

Kiva.org is a website that allows you to loan money to entrepreneurs in developing countries. They get the money, use it for the stated purpose and repay on a payment plan. You get your money back, they get to grow their business and everybody wins.

I believe the concept of micro finance will change developing countries, empowering them to become self-sufficient and ultimately provide them a higher standard of living. We'll be choosing some entrepreneurs at our house to sponsor and see how it goes.

What next?
