It's portable but wide enough to be easily used in the car. In just a few days, I've already used it to find a couple of places. Blake is way more obsessed with it than I am and we even suggested he be a GPS for Halloween. I look forward to using it in pedestrian mode where we'll take the kids out geocaching, a.k.a., scavenger hunt for nerds.

It's too bad that you didn't have this in Dallas. GPS systems work wonders down there when you are stuck in traffic and want to know another way to go!
