Since we had two weeks off, we took the first few days to hang out at home and take it easy. It also cut down the time we spent in KC which is better for Blake. Despite the fact that he's spent time away from home since birth, he doesn't do well when we are away for a long time. Before he could even articulate it, he would start repacking our luggage to indicate that it was time to go home. So December 20-23, we stayed home and relaxed and packed. Of course the day that we left (December 23), a wintry mix of ice and snow came through which was impeccable timing.
